Plot Summary

Waktu Maghrib is a chilling Indonesian horror film that explores the eerie supernatural occurrences surrounding the Maghrib prayer time. The story follows two schoolboys, Adi (Ali Fikry) and Saman (Bima Sena), who live in a small rural village where elders strongly believe in the ominous warnings associated with the time of Maghrib—the twilight period between day and night when supernatural entities are said to be at their strongest.

One evening, the boys disobey their parents and remain outside during Maghrib, laughing off the village’s superstitions. But their defiance comes at a terrifying price. After witnessing a shadowy figure lurking near the mosque, they begin to experience horrifying visions and inexplicable, spine-chilling events. Adi finds himself haunted by disturbing nightmares, while Saman's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and violent.

As fear spreads through the village, a young teacher (Taskya Namya) tries to uncover the mystery, only to realize that the darkness is far more sinister than anyone imagined. With the line between the living and the dead blurring, Adi must confront the entity before it claims more victims.
