Plot Summary

The Babysitters (2007) is a dark coming-of-age drama that explores the consequences of power, desire, and manipulation. Shirley Lyner (Katherine Waterston) is an intelligent but naive high school student who babysits for extra money. When one of her regular clients, Michael Beltran (John Leguizamo), a married man, crosses the line with her, it spirals into a twisted arrangement of transactional relationships.

What starts as an innocent flirtation soon transforms into a secret escort service, where Shirley and her friends "babysit" for wealthy, bored fathers in the suburbs. As the business expands, Shirley finds herself trapped between the thrill of power and the moral consequences of her choices.
